Hi, I'm Lisa! I’m an (Elder) Millennial, Political Activist, Digital Strategist, and Aspiring Writer currently residing in Madison, AL. I'm what I like to refer to as a "Boomerang 'Bamian," meaning I was born and raised in Alabama, got out as quickly as I could, spent a few years living in Chicago and the New Orleans area, and then finally made my way back to settle down in a place where I never thought I would return. But this is home, and I truly wouldn't have it any other way (ok, well maybe except a Lincoln Park brownstone).
Some fun facts about me... I am a Scrabble champ and an unapologetic feminist. I am a lipstick connoisseur and a (semi) retired emo kid. I am an Enneagram 9 and a true crime fanatic. I am an extroverted introvert and my second language is sarcasm. I love all things politics, tequila, and 2000s hip hop, and I am a firm believer in the Oxford comma (a hill on which I am prepared to die).
I have an intense passion for writing, social justice advocacy, destigmatizing mental health, and connecting with others, so thank you for coming along for the ride and for being a part of this little space I have created!
